Dagmar Beyer

Dagmar Beyer, born 1963 in Carinthia, lives in works in Graz and Vienna.
After attaining her law degree at the Karl Franzens University in Graz, she got her Masters degree at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

Her works are mostly composed of paper scraps, torn bits of posters, typography snippets and fragments of photographies. The artworks are about "the women a her position" and "the women and her perception".

For her collages she works with paper on different base materials. Taking snippets out of context, the feel of the material and the possibility to create new aesthetics, are the basis of her compositions. In addition to the paperworks, Dagmar creates photographic collages with the multiple exposure technique.
