Dagmar Beyer was born 1963 and lives in Graz, Austria. She was a student of Prof. Hanzer and had many exhibitions during her career. She started early with Mec-Art. Mechanical Art stands for the program of an Italian-French artist group of the 1960s. Dagmar was especially influenced by Mimmo Rotella and Gianni Bertini. As an observer of her surroundings, she takes photos of advertisements and news coverages and collages them into new contexts. She also uses newspapers, advertisements and posters and collages them onto many layers, then she tears off pieces and shows the soul of the artwork underneath, and creates a new artwork with this technique.
