Biography

Keith Caputo was born in 1973 in Brooklyn, New York, and is widely regarded as one of the most distinctive voices in American rock and alternative music. As the founder and frontman of Life of Agony, he has shaped the sound of an entire generation since the early 1990s with his unmistakable voice and emotional depth. His lyrics have always reflected a profound exploration of identity, vulnerability, and spiritual transformation – themes that now resurface in his visual art.
After decades on international stages, Caputo has found a new form of expression in painting. His works are visual extensions of his music – intense, layered, and deeply personal. Color replaces sound, and line becomes rhythm. Between abstraction and symbolism, he explores the human condition: fragility, rebirth, and the search for transcendence.
In his paintings, Western and Eastern influences converge, intertwining mythological and spiritual imagery with emotional rawness. Each canvas feels like an emotional score – honest, powerful, and uncompromising.
With the exhibition "The Art of Rock and Beyond", Keith Caputo presents his visual art to the public for the first time, marking a new chapter in his creative journey – a visual continuation of the same inner world that has defined his music for decades.
