Gentlemen's Club

Contemporary art positions by men – powerful, complex, global.

With the exhibition "Gentlemen's Club," the Bakerhouse Gallery brings together outstanding artists from eight countries – from Austria to Japan, from Canada to China. This exclusive group show presents a powerful spectrum of individual artistic styles that impress with poise, precision, and aesthetic courage.

Whether pop art, street art, geometric abstraction, or figurative masterpieces, the "Gentlemen's Club" offers a diverse panorama of international art. The selection ranges from global stars like Ai Weiwei, Damien Hirst, Peter Doig, and KAWS to emerging artists already taking to the international stage, including Lewis Blake, Glen Brooks, Rory Hancock, Edi Salsaverde, and Taro Nordberg.

Also present are icons of the Austrian scene such as Josef Florian Krichbaum, Wolfgang Gangl, Tom Lohner and, for the first time, Alex Kiessling, as well as important German artists such as Peter Kalkhof, whose geometric-poetic work occupies a special place in this exhibition.

This presentation is not a nostalgic retrospective—rather, it is a contemporary statement of artistic expression. The focus is on contemporary positions by men who, in all their diversity and depth, enter into an open dialogue with the world: direct, reflective, and experimental.
