Marika was born in 1990 and lives in Gardelegen, in the northern part of Saxony-Anhalt. After completing two apprenticeships as an art therapist and graphic designer, she has been working as a full-time artist since last year. Her works are modern, unique, yet not intrusive, and appear free but not arbitrary. A characteristic feature of Marika's work is a vibrant orange color that almost always finds its way into her pieces.
Her works are abstract worlds that glow in vibrant, modern orange, appearing both light and uncompromising. Acrylic paint, charcoal, and pastels blend together impulsively and intuitively. Scratched and sprayed details embed the artwork, sometimes complemented by written elements. A free yet deliberate choice of colors luminously enhances any environment in which it is placed.
