Virgil Abloh

Virgil Abloh was an American fashion designer and entrepreneur. He was the artistic director of Louis Vuitton's men's collection since 2018 and was given more creative responsibility for the entire LVMH brand in early 2021.

Biography

Virgil Abloh was an American fashion designer, artist, and DJ who was born on September 30, 1980 in Rockford, Illinois. He was known for his work as the artistic director of Louis Vuitton's men's wear collection and as the founder of the fashion label Off-White. Abloh received a degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison before studying architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology. He later interned for Fendi in Rome before becoming a creative director for Kanye West.

In 2013, Abloh launched Off-White, a streetwear-inspired fashion line that gained widespread popularity and critical acclaim. Abloh's work often incorporated elements of popular culture and featured distinctive graphic designs. In addition to his work in fashion, Abloh was also a successful DJ and released music under the stage name Flat White.
