Almira is inspired by the character "Almira Gulch" from the film "The Wizard of Oz."
In the film, Almira was a strict, unfriendly teacher who lived in Kansas and tried to seize Dorothy's dog, Toto. In Oz, she was revealed to be the Wicked Witch of the West, fighting against Dorothy and her friends.
This interpretation shows Almira in her younger years, with her red face and stern gaze already hinting at her evil side.
