In close collaboration with the renowned artist Jeff Koons, this special edition was created as a rolling work of art – not for museums, but for the open road. Only 99 examples were produced worldwide.
The exterior shines in a vibrant mix of 11 colors, intricate geometric shapes, and dynamically exploding patterns – a direct homage to Koons’ earlier BMW Art Car creations such as the M3 GT2.
The artist himself called it his “dream car,” emphasizing the deeply personal design connection embodied in this model.
Its refinement required an elaborate process, taking over 200 hours of meticulous hand-painting just for the finish.

THE 8 x Jeff Koons BMW M850i xDrive Gran Coupé achieved an impressive result at a charity auction at Christie’s in New York on April 4, 2022:
It sold for USD 475,000 — USD 125,000 above the regular retail price of USD 350,000 (in Austria €436,060.10).
All proceeds went to the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC).
