Peonies are among her favorite flowers. She loves their creamy texture, their softness, and their many delicate petals. The varying nuances of light on each individual petal express tenderness, wisdom, gentleness, and kindness. They appear both fragile and strong.
She often paints her flowers in a cocktail glass filled with honey. The honey slowly drips down the glass, symbolizing spring and the bees that collect nectar and give life to our world. Honey represents warmth, sweetness, and vitality.
This time, she opted for water instead. Water stands for clarity, purity, elegance, and the beauty of nature in its simplest form. It lends lightness and transparency to the composition, allowing the peonies to radiate naturally. The crystal glass reflects both delicacy and strength - just like the flowers themselves.
