This work was created during her stay in Bratislava, Slovakia, as part of a special family visit. During this time, she was particularly inspired by the winter light, which at the beginning of the year appeared surprisingly soft and radiant. Despite the cold season, the sun filled the city with a warm brightness that significantly influenced both the color palette and the atmosphere of the painting.
At the center of the composition is a beautiful crystal glass, textured and finely engraved, holding a bouquet of violets and flowers in deep, vibrant hues. The very light, turquoise background creates a soft, airy contrast that particularly highlights the delicacy of the flowers and the transparency of the crystal.
The color violet plays an essential role in this work. For the artist, it is a powerful and deeply feminine color that symbolizes beauty, strength, grace, and sensitivity. With this bouquet, she celebrates the presence and importance of women in the world.
At the same time, the painting carries an intimate dimension: it is closely linked to the joy of reuniting with her sister and mother. It reflects moments of sharing, love, and affection that nourished her inspiration during this stay. Violet Blossoms is thus both a tribute to femininity and a luminous reminder of precious family moments.
